Lift Conference 2010 and Embracing Social Media

VIP Lunch

This year’s Lift Conference took place on the 5th – 7th May, and focused on the theme of ‘connected people’. With daily workshops and speakers from a wide array of professional backgrounds, the conference provided insight and discussion on a connected world, and centered on issues such as social media, web 2.0 innovations and the future of technology in enterprise. After 2009, blue-infinity is once again a partner of Lift in 2010, an event highlighted on the calendars of forward thinking and innovative organizations worldwide.

VIP Lunch

On Thursday 6th May, b-i hosted a lunchtime session at the event, with a number of clients, friends and business associates from companies in the Geneva and Lausanne region. After lunch and a chance to discuss the morning’s politics session, our guests were treated to a truly insightful presentation by Matthias Lüfkens of the World Economic Forum.  Matthias explained how the WEF engages with social media technology to interact with its stakeholders, and discussed with the group the many benefits – but also pitfalls – of embracing such an approach.

The presentation was well received by all in attendance, with much discussion and debate afterwards.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s Lift conference in 2011!
