Tech Ed Europe 2014 Invites b-i expert

TechEd Europe is Microsoft’s premier technology conference for IT Professionals and Enterprise Developers. Marius Constantinescu was selected as Product Matter Expert and Microsoft Certified Trainer. He tells us more about this year's edition, held in Barcelona.

TechEd Europe is Microsoft’s premier technology conference for IT Professionals and Enterprise Developers, providing the technical education, product evaluation, and community resources to plan, architect, deploy, manage and secure a connected enterprise.

I sat down with Marius Constantinescu to find out his aspirations for this year’s edition, being held from October 28-31 at Fira Barcelona, Spain.

Hola Marius and congratulations on your selection! How do you feel?

I’m very happy as it is a great recognition and another great chance to be involved in such international activities.

What is TechEd Europe?

TechEd Europe showcases content that is really important to IT professionals. Having been selected, I benefit from free entrance to an exciting forum with other Microsoft Product Matter Experts.  This year it’s held in Barcelona.

Was it difficult to be selected?

Yes, as the competition was quite tough from hundreds of other specialists, other MVPs and experts who all applied for the same role!

What does this mean for you personally?

Being close to pre-conference training participants as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) gives me the opportunity to get that experience right there at the front line. It is also an occasion to learn some new things along the way, being in direct contact with other Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), trainers and members of the product team. On the other hand, besides some great exposure in Switzerland, it counts for my next year’s (MVP) qualification, which is awesome.

What can TechEd expect from your participation?

I’m essentially taking the role of proctor for the hands-on labs, as Product Subject Matter Expert. I could also be involved with replying to answers at the Microsoft booth, about SharePoint and Office 365.

Assuming you have a round trip ticket, what do you hope to bring back to b-i?

Haha! I think TechEd will be fairly enriching and certainly a new arena where I can harvest knowledge from others. So I hope I can share lots of effective new insights back in Geneva.
