Enterprise Social Network-ing

50+ people joined us for a lively afternoon session on how to build a successful ESN and ensure adoption, wth Banque Pictet & Cie and blue-infinity.

blue-infinity welcomed approximately 30 guests on 12 November to a workshop on Enterprise Social Networks. The Lounge was well-stocked with an audience representing various industries, including private banking, non-governmental organisations and the luxury sector.

Sonia Nair, Director Marketing & Communication at blue-infinity, provided a punchy, informative start on the changing face of business and the social enterprise, covering the differences in the way we collaborate today vs yesteryear and how we need to serve a new generation of employees. Sonia also screened blue-infinity’s video on “What does digital mean to you?” and took the opportunity to present some of the latest digital trends.

Steven Ritchey, guest speaker from Banque Pictet & Cie., treated the audience his topical example of social enterprise ‘discovery’. From conception to wireframing, Steven, Head of Digital Strategies, covered some of the professional challenges of implementing an ESN within the bank, the hurdles and pitfalls as well as his (positive!) vision for the future. Some great insights that lead to lively exchanges on personal experience between the audience.

Nathalie Raux-Copin, User Experience expert at blue-infinity, picked up from where Steven left off, with the all-important user adoption aspects. A seasoned UX guru, Nathalie has worked with numerous blue-infinity clients, including Pictet, on their UX needs. Successful ESNs carefully consider their audience. And she showed the numerous ways she uses understand their needs, with a step-by-step examples of how to get this fundemental understanding and how use these learnings to desig a an ESN that is adpoted by employees.

The evening concluded with a lively exchange and networking opportunity during the cocktail.
