Meet our people: Marta, LinkedIn pro

Meet the diverse people at blue-infinity that help make us distinctive. Marta has become something of a pro on LinkedIn - not only because of her 20,000 person contact base but her thirst for finding the “right talent at the right time” requires that she masters this tool.

And Marta Campelo is really succeeding. From our Geneva Resourcing office, she teams up with our Quality Shore colleagues in Lisbon to help source new candidates and promote blue-infinity, with a good amount of new talent discovered so far. She survives on the adrenalin of recruitment, listening to people’s diverse stories, understanding their different needs and conveying the blue-infinity message. “I’m representing the company. I’m the first contact for potential candidates within blue-infinity. I’m at the forefront of our business.”

Marta’s adopted home of Switzerland has always been her country of choice – the location, people, culture and language, although she mainly speaks English in the office. “Leaving my comfort zone was really important to help me grow and mature. But I rapidly met people I now consider as friends, even if I arrived not knowing anyone.”

She can also relate to her candidates as many of them come from abroad. A native of Portugal, Marta notes that nationality isn’t a constraint in joining blue-infinity – “it enriches our employee base. Diversity helps bring new ideas and makes our organisation dynamic and fast-moving.”

Marta has evolved professionally by challenging herself at work. She has learned to be a more communicative team member thanks to the enthusiasm of her team. A Master in Psychology helps Marta better understand candidates minds, and now she also has a perfect understanding of technologies by participating in internal learning opportunities and being mentored by managers in recruitment. “I need to know what I’m talking about with candidates.”

Marta places heavy value on human relationships and it’s personally very rewarding. “The best part of my job is to see employees one month after they arrived at blue-infinity and find out how well they integrated into their team.” Marta considers this a very open environment where people can talk with each other, with the autonomy to make her own decisions. “Come with an open mind, to learn from the talented people we have and be ready to be part of a team.”

About LinkedIn, Marta leverages the best in these kinds of digital platforms to both improve her work and to spread the word about new employment opportunities. Passionately digital “is all about being curious, learning and discovering new things. Finding the right  career paths for our people is essential to making blue-infinity a thriving company.”
