We value collaboration in our people, and Martin’s drive and experience in the digital space exemplifies this, ”I take responsibility for my projects in terms of delivery and in ensuring that our clients are happy.”
Martin immersed himself in technology from an early age, and by 20 was working as a freelance developer whilst completing his studies in Brno. His curiosity coupled with a background in software development lead him into information architecture and Microsoft-based CRM & CMS systems. Following project management studies, he pivoted into cybersecurity at AVG Technologies, his strength in managing cross functional projects helped prepare AVG for their initial public offering.
Following AVG’s acquisition by Avast Software, he was responsible for integrating the companies’ systems and processes as ICT Director, “It was a disruptive time for commerce and CRM systems, we had to find a way to manage and sell two brands through different sales channels, while integrating different approaches, mindsets and systems” says Martin. Avast has since grown to become a leader in antivirus solutions.
“Joining blue-infinity has been like a breath of fresh air. The collaboration between the division, departments and practices is a huge benefit. We can share the knowledge and combine the best from across the company. Sometimes you witness silos in bigger companies, and cooperation just doesn’t happen. I really like the approach at blue-infinity.”
Martin sees himself as a problem-solver, but never dismisses the value of a team, “I like the fact that I’m not the smartest man in the room, we can always address the right person, and give autonomy to empower others to solve issues. That way you involve the team in being a part of the solution.”
Not only has Martin been interested in technology since the 8-bit processor, he is an avid globetrotter. While his passion has taken him to across four continents in the past two years alone, he has a special place in his memory - the small village of Sidemen, Bali, self-proclaimed as the “best morning views” in the world. There, you can relax before the sunrise in the middle of rice fields in full view of the active Gunung Agung volcano.
Martin foresees an exciting future at blue-infinity, “From the marketers to technical developers, there is a huge variety of skills here. Culturally, I really like positivity and drive that helps us deliver multi-platform solutions across the latest technologies.”
“Our people - its what defines the DNA of blue-infinity - unique, colourful, friendly, and strong in our delivery,” says Martin.
