Bringing the digital revolution to private banking

Leading the way in bespoke digital solutions for some of our most sensitive clients.

With our dedicated 30+ core-banking team and A-Class supplier ranking, blue-infinity is leading digitisation within Switzerland’s foremost private banks. As the sector increasingly embraces digital, blue-infinity has demonstrated innovative solutions by rethinking financial services through the use of technology across a range of key areas, to better serve internal and external customers.

Deploying digital

With our banking clients, we have undertaken numerous initiatives, such as UX and interface redesigns, dynamic KPI reporting tools, process workflow optimisation, deployment of internal ESN platforms, real time e-banking services, migration of ERP applications, online solutions for employee performance and electronic event management tools.

In one way or another, these digital projects have been implemented without hinderance to processes or protocol, have optimised data management, improved employee collaboration and brought greater autonomy to employees.

Rethinking banking for the digital generation

Due to the influx of younger generation employees, internal banking tools frequently no longer meet expectations - those of a hyper-connected digital workplace and an always-on consumer. So if employees typically find out more about each other via their LinkedIn profiles than the company intranet, banks may have hit a digital turning point.  In the example of redesigning an intranet as a social platform, blue-infinity can address these collaboration needs with custom SharePoint solutions involving plugins like Sitrion, Jive or Yammer.

Governance is key

Simply deploying a collaborative solution software doesn’t mean that projects will be a success. Good governance is important for maintaining quality of information, especially at a bank, notably the split between reference vs working materials, highly read vs out of date documents and so on. These specific requirements are important when designing custom software.

Approaching the task together

The close collaboration of our team - a core composed of communication champions and IT, social networking and UX experts coupled with an agile approach – gives thrust and reactivity in delivering successful project phases alongside the business. Agile sprints and workshops lead to efficient turn around and fluid decision making.  For example, a workshop of seven personae represented employees staged in a global scenario with subsequent scenarios derived from it, allowing better design of future solutions.

More efficient development

Through UX, we can better illustrate the navigation principles and recommendations on the zoning of main pages - home, project page, publishing site, directory communities and search results. For example, developing wireframes and visual design in low fidelity ensures alignment with the workload determined in UX studies, the objective being to test the 'out-of-the-box’ functionalities and stay within less than 20% customization.

Capturing business needs

Key decisions from the workshops are captured and prototyped in the solution's environment with participation of different experts. For example, some demonstrations of scenario based prototypes take place before revealing them to stakeholders. Users benefit from support during the prototype testing period and client confidence increases.
