UBP digital rebranding

Union Bancaire Privée is a fast-moving, visionary private bank who wished to communicate with their dynamic and independent client base on the same level - digitially.

Using UX and design techniques, we sought to bring UBP’s values of dedication, agility, responsibility and conviction to the fore, with a new responsive website, redbranded to modernise and reflect the bank’s strong entrepreneurial mind-set.

Value-added UX

This was an extensive UX project. Our task was to make content more accessible and easier to locate across all devices, particularly tablets and smartphones, carefully detailing all on-click animations and interactive behaviour for the development team.

Over 26 desktop pages and 15 responsive design pages were Axure wireframed and designed in-house to incorporate a generous amount of existing content. Interaction design techniques take care of more subtle animations, such as the news feed and accompanying widgets. Cross linking helps keep users on site, and friendly social media add-ins on every page enable easier sharing amongst followers.

The new site design delivers a serious but avantgarde, contemporary tone; a palette of dynamic green hues and more traditional greys set on a white background help highlight black and white sports imagery, exemplifying the competitive side of finance, as well as a joining of forces. An in-depth style guide was provided for this purpose.

We are pleased to be developing a new UBP private client mobile app for individual wealth management, following the success of this project.

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) was founded in 1969 by Edgar de Picciotto, whose vision from the outset was to offer investors an astute and innovative wealth management service.
